The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) announced on Thursday that it was taking over the reins of the investigation into the double murder committed last week, in Brossard, since the crime would be linked to organized crime.

The folder will now be controlled by the investigators of the crimes against the person of SQ. Police of Longueuil will, however, continue to cooperate in the investigation.

This decision was taken in the light of new information gathered by the forces of order in the course of the last few days.

Recall that on 17 July, late evening, a passer-by discovered the body lifeless by two men in the entrance to the Centre de plein air de Brossard, located on the chemin des Prairies, in an isolated area.

The corpses were on the ground, near a car.

According to our information, Mohamed Odeh, 21 years old, and Kevin Paul, 23 years old, have been shot in the head after being forced to kneel.

To this day, the murderers are still at large.

Anyone with information that could further the investigation is asked to contact the Central criminal information of the SQ at 1 800 659-4264.
