We get closer and quietly to the next Chevrolet Corvette…

Though nothing has been released yet, we already know lots of things about the Corvette C8.

A prototype version has been seen by the photographer Chris Doane who shared his photos on the Internet. His photos confirm, once more, that the engine of the next Corvette will be mid-rear.

From what I could read on Autoblog, its official launch is planned for next year.

For several years, the rumors about a possible Corvette in a central position back. The purists of the model are not shy to let them hear their displeasure. Remember, during the unveiling of the C7, they have been many to criticize the rear lights square. Imagine when they see that the recipe that was used since 1953 has been changed…

The bankruptcy of General Motors in 2009 has forced Chevrolet to put the project on ice. This time, we face of the solid.
