It is with the support of some members of his family present in the courtroom that Lajoie was able to recover the freedom.

The former police officer of the police Department of the City of Quebec (SPVQ), however, has had to engage, under signature, for an amount of $ 500, and it will consume neither alcohol nor drugs as part of his parole.

He must also reside at the House of Jean-Lepage 24 hours on 24 to address his addiction problem.

The 35 year old man is also committed to do not find in the bars and not to possess any weapon. He will return to court on February 9 next.

    Assault causing injury

Recall that on Christmas day, Lajoie would be delivered to the armed assault against a man.

The Director of criminal and penal prosecutions accuses him also of having “failed to comply with a condition of an undertaking given to a peace officer or a responsible officer, notify the captain John Nolan, of any change of address, employment or occupation”.

After briefly appeared in court on 26 December, the ex-police officer of the police Department of the City of Quebec (SPVQ) was brought before the judge, Christian Boulet the next day and his lawyer had indicated that he wanted his client to be evaluated on its ability to appear in court. An evaluation which proved positive.

    Traffic

Initially, Lajoie had been accused of trafficking cocaine, breach of trust by a public servant and unauthorized use of a computer.

The gestures related to drug trafficking have been committed between 1 November 2014 and 1 march 2015, so that the crimes relating to the use of the Centre de renseignements policiers du Québec would have occurred between 1st April 2012 and January 2015.
