A fan of Pink regrets being cheated for 520 $ by purchasing fake tickets for the show of the singer in Montreal on Kijiji.
“I never thought I’d make me pick up like that, but there, I can tell you that I will ransom them never ticket other than a ticket. I had my lesson “, growls Celine Simard.
By browsing on the website Gumtree three weeks ago, she fell on a small ad offering two tickets in cardboard for the spectacle of the singer Pink, will pass at the Bell Centre on march 23.

The author of the ad, a certain ” Yanick “, reported to have paid every ticket is 290 $. He sold them the same price, or $ 520 for the pair.
Mad with joy, Céline Simard has immediately contacted the seller, who had agreed to meet in Montreal the next day.
“Everything went as planned. I gave him the money from the tickets, and they were in the air authentic. But on the way back, I don’t know why, I had a bad feeling, ” says the one who lives in Saint-Amable, in Montérégie.
By visiting Kijiji a few hours later, the woman found that the announcement of Yanick was still online. Worried, she asked a friend to write to the seller to see if tickets were still available. He replied that it was the case.
Confrontation
Ms. Simard was then called the Bell Centre, where he confirmed that the order number entered on the ticket does not correspond to the indicated section, and that it was therefore a hoax.
The woman immediately filed a complaint with the Montreal police Department (SPVM) has opened an investigation. His girlfriend was then given an appointment to the seller for Celine Simard can meet him again and confront him.
“On the spot, when I told him that he had sold me the same ticket the week before, he denied everything and he fled to the race,” she says.
Since then, the ad has been removed and the man no longer responds to its cell. The Journal has tried to reach him several times, without success. Ms. Simard has never been able to recover his money.
Precautions
In August last year, twenty people had been the victim of a fraud similar to when the british group Coldplay was arrested in Montreal.
To avoid getting ripped off, the SPVM reminds us that the ideal is to buy tickets directly from promoters.
“If we decide to do business with a reseller, it is best to pay with PayPal or by credit card, because cash leaves no trace,” says the sergeant Laurent Gingras.
“This is also a good idea to meet the dealer at a place where we can check the validity of tickets, as the site of the event,” he adds.
