MONTREAL | salon poses nail was heavily damaged in a fire suspicious that erupted in the late evening on Wednesday in the district of Villeray, in Montreal.
The flames have taken birth in the trade LAN Manicure distribution, which is located on the first floor of a four storey building located on the boulevard Jean-Talon, between the rue Louis-Hémon and high bluffs. The building houses offices on the second and third floor and housing on the fourth.
The offices and the housing located above the trade of nail were empty at the time of the incident, as if nobody has been injured, explained Benoit Martel, chief of operations for the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal.
The value of the damage caused by fire, water and smoke is estimated to be approximately $100,000.
About 35 firefighters were called to fight the blaze.
Firefighters believe that the fire’s origin is suspicious. In all likelihood, they are the investigators of the police Department of the City of Montreal who will inherit the folder, mentioned by Mr. Martel in the late evening.
