The american manufacturer Ford has decided, in a stroke of advertising, offering for a militant saudi, the car of her dreams, after the lifting of the ban on women driving in the kingdom ultraconservateur.
“We’d like to offer you the car of your dreams,” said
Ford Middle East on his official Twitter account to the address of Sahar Nassif, who had campaigned for the right of Saudi women to get behind the wheel.
“Your
Mustang is waiting for you”, said the american brand in a second tweet showing a photo of a Ford Mustang yellow under the hashtag #MustangSahar.
Sahar Nassif had declared his love for this model in an interview just after the publication of the September 26 of the royal decree lifting the ban on driving for women starting from June, 2018.
Saudi Arabia, governed by a version rigorist islam was the only State in the world to impose such a ban.
The Saudi had long been a campaign for the right to drive and some were arrested after having taken the steering wheel and released only after their guardians male had guaranteed that this act would not be repeated.
The University Princess Nourah, a public institution with more than 60 000 students in Riyadh and other cities nearby, was the first to announce Sunday his intention to open a driving school for women.
While saudi Arabia may include millions of new motorists in the coming years, the major manufacturers are already doing the soft eyes of these potential clients. Some, such as Nissan, Chevrolet and Ford, were quick to “congratulate” Saudi women and their “welcome”.
