The police Service of Quebec City claims to have received at least four accusations of sexual misconduct since Thursday.
David Poitras, a spokesperson for the SPVQ, confirms that investigators have been called in during the day of Thursday for alleged sexual assault. Impossible to know if those accusations are related to specific cases.
“It is on that if there are complaints of sexual assault, we can not say who is a suspect in there. But since the broadcast of a tweet which had the objective of giving the pat on the back to people who would otherwise hesitate, we have received four denunciations,” said Mr. Poitras.

This last reminds us that the SPVQ will take “all complaints of this type very seriously” and invites people who have experienced “sexual assault or an incident of a sexual nature” to contact investigators.
On the side of Montréal, the SPVM has confirmed on social networks have received more than 50 denunciations from Thursday, 10 on Friday morning only.
