SEVEN-ISLANDS | years in years, a father of a family of Seven-Islands grows still further his passion for the construction of shelters in the snow.

Neilson Juneau has called 30 of his friends to dig a small hotel of ice with four parts.

This place, called “The fridge”, since it is accessed by the door of a refrigerator, is equipped with a bar, a fireplace and even a bed.

The man ensures the security by proper venting of the heat and a inner structure in the shape of a cathedral, to avoid a collapse.

He has been able to count on a winter rich in precipitation and with the collaboration of his neighbor, who has temporarily transferred a portion of his land and helped him to pile the snow during the winter.

“I’m doing this is to live the magic of the season, we feel like children,” he confided.

Mr. Juneau built shelters in the snow since the age of 12 years.

He has perfected his techniques with the army cadets. And it continues to build to take advantage of the last days of winter, with his family and his friends.
