A man in his seventies has died after waiting more than a week in Mexico that a hospital bed is available at his home in London, Ontario.
Stuart Cline, age 71, had been hospitalized during a trip to Mexico, last week. He had to undergo a surgery after having a brain hemorrhage, but was in a state to be brought back to Canada by plane. However, it took several days before a bed is released, has criticised the mp for her riding, Peggy Sattler, contacted by his family.
“He was told by his insurance company that there was no bed available, said Ms Sattler in front of the ontario legislature last week. This is five days that he waits to come back, so that his situation is deteriorating.”

The septuagenarian has finally been brought back to the country, but has been transported to a hospital located nearly 200 miles from home, thanks to steps carried out by a member of his family, according to the London Free Press. He died shortly after, according to his family.
Ms. Sattler was criticized this week the fact that it is not an isolated case in Ontario. In his statement to the legislative Assembly of ontario, she cites at least two other people who have recently experienced the same situation. The minister of ontario Health, Helena Jaczek, had replied that the responsibility of finding a hospital bed is up to the insurance.
