THE fish | A young motorist who fled after crashing into a pole, Hydro-Québec could face charges of driving with ability impaired by alcohol.

It all started around 3: 30 in the morning, when the driver 19-year-old smashed into a Hydro-Québec pole on the Main road Is, Fishing, in the Outaouais region.

“After the impact, the vehicle would have caught fire. The arrival of the police, the driver fled,” stressed Daniel Pariseau, a spokesman for the police of the MRC des Collines-de-l’outaouais.

The individual, however, was found two hours later by the firefighters of the municipality. He was eventually arrested for driving with ability impaired by alcohol and will soon appear.

The driver would be native to the municipality of Pontiac.
