A cyberprédateur repeat offender, who asked for sexual favours to his victims through Facebook, was in possession of the cell phone numbers of a hundred teenage girls at the time of his arrest.
Philippe Truchon is a regular at the decoy computer. In 2011, he was sentenced to two years in prison for having asked more than 280 teenage girls showing off naked in front of their webcam, in five months.
Despite the fact that his name appeared in the register of sexual offenders, he has found the means to re-offend.
Between January 2016 and April 2017, the human 37-year-old has made five new victims, teens aged 14 to 17 years of age. Truchon has contacted several other young girls, but the discussions have not progressed far enough for this to constitute a criminal offence, has noted to Me Roxane Laporte, the Crown, last month, at the courthouse of Montreal.
The cyberprédateur then pleaded guilty to 12 counts of luring computer science, criminal harassment, uttering threats and possession of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking.
Truchon was still using the same modus operandi. He made himself out to be the owner of a bar or a clothing store and offered jobs as a waitress or model to young girls via Facebook. He had created dozens of profiles.
Threats
He succeeded in getting their numbers of cell, which he used to ask sexual favors in a language that is very raw. The teens were all denied, so that Truchon was off of him and wrote insults in a burst. He has even threatened some of them of the beat.
During the arrest of Truchon last may, the police have put their hands on books containing a hundred numbers of cell teens, who have all been contacted by the investigators.
Detained since his arrest, Philippe Truchon must undergo an assessment sexological to determine the penalty that will be imposed this time.
