Young entrepreneurs of Montreal launched a year ago Hello Homes, a platform that lists all the homes of the elderly private and certified in Quebec.

“Three years ago, my grandmother moved to a more advanced stage of Alzheimer’s. It is at this moment, people began to search for him to find a home. My first reflex was to go on the internet, but I couldn’t find something that met his need,” explained Sara Girard, the co-founder of Hello Homes.

The website works in the way of TripAdvisor, since users can leave an overall rating, and comments for each of the residences. To navigate the website, the users only have to enter the city or the name of the residence in the search bar, and then they have access to photos, but also to a summary description.

“This is not obvious, there are so many residences. When people are left having to find one for a loved one, they often ask a number of questions. Hello Homes allows them, in some way, to do a first sorting,” added Manon Rochette, manager of the residences, St-Philippe.

Hello Homes lists nearly 2000 homes across the province of Quebec, but the managers do not exclude the idea of expanding the territory in the rest of Canada.
