MONTREAL | snow removal operations will slow down motorists on the highways of the Montreal region by end of week.

The ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) warns that the movement and the blowing snow will cause barriers and closures spot.

These potential obstacles are in addition to closures that will take place on the highways 15 and 720, due to construction.

Highway 15 will be closed in the south direction in the night from Saturday to Sunday, from 23 h to 7 h, between Décarie interchange and the entrance of the rue Jean-Talon. The detour will be by the Decarie boulevard.

Because of this closure, as soon as 22 h, the shoulder of highway 40 and west to access the highway a-15 South will be closed, in addition to the entrance of the Marcel-Laurin boulevard and avenue Royalmount.

The 720 will also be inaccessible in the westbound direction between the Panet street, and the entrance of the rue Saint-Antoine, at the height of the rue Rose-de-Lima, in the night of Sunday to Monday. The closure will begin at midnight and continue until 5 pm

This will result from 23: 30 to the closure of the entrance of the street Sanguinet and Saint-Antoine Is, as well as the access ramp to highway 10 East. The MTQ suggests the use of the boulevard Robert-Bourassa as an alternative.
