While the temperature was around 30 °C, a father left his two children alone in the car while he was making commissions on Monday afternoon, in the borough of Jonquière, in the Saguenay.

It is a bandwidth who has noticed the presence of the two children in the car, engine off and windows closed.

“The windows were all closed. The children, who had approximately 2 years and 4 years, were sleeping in their car seat and would never have been able to go out by themselves, ” explained Sara Michaud in an interview with TVA News.

“I was there for a few minutes. As I was to break the windows, or call the emergency services, the father is out (of the drugstore located on the rue Saint-Dominique), ” added the bandwidth.

After discussion with the father of the children, Ms. Michaud has left the scene, believing that everything was finished and the man was going to walk away with the small.

    It starts all over again

It is then that the bandwidth has been notified by another witness, that the father of the family, leaving children back in the car, was entered in another trade.

The citizen then called 911 to inform them of the situation. Sara Michaud also went to the police station, but did not want to file a complaint. Ms. Michaud just wish that the father of the family understands the danger of leaving children alone in a car in the heat.

“I told him that it was extremely dangerous to leave children unattended, when it is hot like this,” had said the lady to the father after a first commission in the trade of Jonquière.

    No complaints

As no witness has brought a formal complaint against the father of the family, the police of Saguenay will only communicate with the man.

“It is a commission of one minute, five minutes or ten minutes, it doesn’t matter. From the moment a child is left without supervision, this is unacceptable “, stressed Marc Sénéchal, of the Service de police de Saguenay.
