Hit-and-run fatal in Saint-Constant: the police pin a suspect

The alleged perpetrator of the hit-and-run that caused the death of a child of 2 years was arrested Wednesday morning, Saint-Constant, south of Montreal.

The suspect is a man of 25 years. It has been pinned down at 7: 15 a.m., at his home in Saint-Constant.
He will be met by the investigators during the day and is expected to appear Thursday morning, at the courthouse of Longueuil.
He will be charged with hit and run causing death. If he is found guilty, the man faces a sentence of life imprisonment.
The suspect, whose identity has not been revealed, is believed to have struck and fatally wounded a boy of 2 and a half years old who was playing in front of his residence in the rue Rabelais, Saint-Constant, on the 27th of may.
