“He can help us in the collective aspect in the defensive stage” noted head coach Mauro Biello.
The new Impact defender Deian Boldor seems to be already conquered by Montreal. Remains to be seen if he will succeed in his turn to conquer the supporters of the Blue-white-black.
Boldor has participated in his second practice with the Impact on Wednesday, and he was all smiles while starting her first media briefing with a “hello” much felt in French.
“I feel good and I am very happy to be here,” he continued in English.
The Romanian 22-year-old arrived on the training ground to the sides of the head coach Mauro Biello. It is heated passes the ball with Blerim Dzemaili, who also happened via the Bologna FC, in may.
Integration
“I talked a lot with Dzemaili since I had met in Bologna, said Boldor. He told me beautiful things of Montreal and it has made my decision easy. “
If the presence of Dzemaili could facilitate the integration of Boldor group, Biello will have the task of ensuring that his new soldier adjusts to MLS.
“Yes, it is a league physics, but there are also attackers are very strong that you don’t see in the second division in Europe, or even in some of the teams in the first division. There is no [Sebastian] Giovinco or [David] Villa, noted Biello. It can help us in the collective aspect in the defensive stage and will have to adjust to our way of playing. “
Measuring six feet two inches and weighing 178 pounds, Boldor has a different profile from the other central defenders in the Impact, according to Biello.
“Boldor grew up in a school in Italy where the tactical aspect is very important — how to move, the responsibilities in the collective — said Biello. Already, in his way of talking and in our discussions, he understands what we want of him.
“Also, we had no left-handed in central defence. Time and again, we had a bit of difficulty to escape the pressure for this reason. This is not always easy for a right-handed person to play left, even defensively, ” added Biello, who admitted that the arrival of Boldor could lead to a return of the system with three central defenders employed a little earlier this year.

Let go of its game
For its part, Boldor has mentioned that he would let his game speak for itself.
“I like to play ball, be aggressive. You’ll see, ” he said, a little embarrassed at having to describe it.
A native of Timisoara, Romania, Boldor has mentioned having already some knowledge within the Romanian community in Montreal. He argues that the decision to come to America was good for his family and he expects to receive the visit of his parents and his sister.
“This is the right place, the right city and the right supporters, he said. I have the feeling that it was the right choice.
“I already feel at home. “
Since the season of Boldor with the Hellas Verona F. C. ended in may, Biello has mentioned that he would need to assess the physical condition of the Romanian front to integrate it into his training. It was therefore too early to say if he was going to face the Red Bulls in New York on Saturday.
However, Biello has confirmed that the defender Hassoun Camara was wounded in the thigh and that he would most likely still need ten days to two weeks to recover. He also indicated that midfielder Marco Donadel was given in Italy to receive a cortisone injection in the knee. His availability for the visit to New York is uncertain.
For his part, midfielder Ignacio Piatti has not trained with his team-mates, but Biello has mentioned that his state of health was re-evaluated on a daily basis.
