At the zoo of Taiyuan, located in China, visitors were shocked at how emaciated the lion has bitten its own tail, which was frozen into the ice. Caring people appealed to the administration of the zoo with the requirement to explain why his Pets are in this condition.

 

Visitors to the zoo in Taiyuan, the Shanxi province of China has opened a frightening picture: a lion is under the care of the institution, was chewing on its tail frozen in the ice. The injured lion and a lioness, which was kept in a cage, was malnourished and inactive. The administration of the zoo was suspected of animal cruelty.

Media witnesses said that the predator fell asleep near the pond in his enclosure, which was soon covered with a crust of ice. The tail of a lion, trapped in the water frozen into the ice and bled profusely, causing the animal to gnaw. The zoo workers, who learned about the incident, gave the predator a medicine to stop bleeding.

When visitors asked why the animals are in a depleted state, the administration of the zoo has refused to give any comment to this fact.
