A man of 82 years of the Montérégie region, has just completed a puzzle of 18 000 parts after spending nearly four winters to replenish the african savanna that occupies about 60 square feet in its basement.

Retired for 15 years, Simon Lacoste spends his winters doing. For this resident of Mercier, this is a way to combat the gloom of winter. During the cold season, the octogenarian spends between two and five hours per day on his / her puzzle.

The puzzle brand Ravensburger containing 18 000 pieces, which represents an african savannah with dozens of wild animals, had been offered to him by his brother-in-law. This is his biggest challenge in his career and he is very proud.

When he arrived at the end, it is, however, noticed that it was missing four small pieces to fill the huge image. According to him, they are probably lost in the household. The puzzle measures 6 feet 4 inches wide and 9 feet long, and it took the equivalent of 12 months of work to complete it.
