The Association of pedestrian and cyclists of the Jacques-Cartier bridge (APC-PJC) promises to make the noise this Saturday morning during an event at which it will tackle the”late opening” of the multi-purpose path.

On Thursday, the company The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated has indicated that the multipurpose path reopened only in April, without, however, indicate an exact date.

The APC-PJC, which is campaigning for an access to the year of the pedestrian and bicycle path located on the west side of the Jacques-Cartier bridge, found that the authorities take a long time before moving on.

“Once again, work to delay the opening of the trail (west) and the sidewalk (is) for pedestrians and cyclists. No access is planned before the month of April, according to PJCCI. The treatment of pedestrians and cyclists is discriminatory and contrary to the policies of the federal government to reduce GHG and to promote active living”, wrote the organisers on Friday.

Cyclists and pedestrians may manifest from 10 a.m. to the park Veterans, located at the entrance of the multipurpose path on the side of Montreal.
