A residential building has been prey to a violent fire, late Wednesday night, in the borough of Rosemont–Petite-Patrie in Montreal.
According to initial information available, the fire has ravaged an apartment block located on 14th avenue, between Rosemont boulevard and the rue Dandurand.
The building was uninhabited because it was in renovation. There was nobody inside when the flames arose, said Christian Legault chief to the operations of the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal (SIM)
A fifth alarm was launched from the side of the SIM to attempt to contain the fire, which has been mastered at around 00: 30 a.m. early Thursday night.
The cause of the fire remained to be determined. According to first observations, the fire would have started in the floor of the first floor.
