Man hunt in Longueuil

    The police officers of the Sûreté du Québec, with the assistance of the police in Longueuil are looking for a suspect who triggered a police chase that ended when the suspect abandoned the vehicle on boulevard Gaetan-Boucher in Saint-Hubert.

    LONGUEUIL | police officers of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) and the police de Longueuil, were deployed Tuesday evening, in the borough of Saint-Hubert to try to find a motorist fugitive.

    According to first information transmitted by the Sûreté du Québec, patrol officers would have attempted to intercept a motorist on highway 30 to 19: 45 p.m. in connection with an excessive speed. The latter have, however, taken the leak.

    After a short pursuit, the driver reportedly abandoned his truck at the corner of boulevard Gaétan-Boucher and Davis, in a residential area near a large park. He then allegedly fled on foot.

    Police helped a dog handler tried to find it again in the middle of the evening. The SQ was not able to explain the actions of the suspect.
