    Known for its characteristic fiery and colorful language, the ex-coach Richard Martel confirmed his candidacy as a conservative in a press conference worthy of an interview post-game.

    The conservative Party has presented on Wednesday the candidate who will bring their color to the next by-election in Chicoutimi-Le Fjord. Richard Martel then explained to why have you chosen to make the leap into politics with turns of phrases that he knows well. After all, he has been a hockey coach for 25 years.

    So here is a condensed version of his press conference.

    The date for the by-election in Chicoutimi-Le Fjord is not yet known. The riding has been vacant for nearly two months. Liberal mp Denis Lemieux has resigned for family reasons.
