Three massage parlors, erotic Laval, who have lost their licence are addressed to the courts to demand that we return to them their right to operate legally.

Institutions Massage Absolut Massage Exotica and Massage Alexcellence are part of a twenty erotic fairs that were denied by the City of Laval for their renewal of operation permit on the 31st December last, as reported by The Journal in January.

Laval had started to take steps in 2014 to further control the activities of its massage parlours, seeing that some dungeons were located near schools or child care facilities, including.

The police of Laval had managed to prove, in the last year, by inspections, that these massage parlors were offering sexual services outside of the 14 areas permitted in Laval. What she had not been able to do before.

    Coaching salons

Since 1992, the City of the North Shore has a regulation that imposes to salons and practitioners to obtain a permit and abide by a dress code to operate on its territory.

However, if the massage parlours want to offer erotic services, they were required until recently to operate in one of 14 industrial zones scattered across Laval. Same thing for all the other shops erotic.

However, according to the City, all the salons who have lost their licence, no there were not.

In the documents of the court, the three institutions which are addressed to the courts argue that the renewal of their licence has always been accepted without problem since the beginning of their activities in the early 2000s.

    Acquired rights

“The refusal to issue or renew the license of operator of massage […] also prevents nearly forty persons to exercise their profession of masseur “, argues Simon Cadotte, a lawyer for Massage Absolut in documents of court.

These shows claim that they have “acquired rights” since the zoning regulations on which is based the City to justify its refusal entered into force in 2006. They argue that the new regulations do not apply to them.

    Less than 1 km2

Laval has in effect amended its rules in January stating that any new trade sexual (salon of erotic massage, dancing bar, shop erotic and swinger club) could now install that in a small quadrangle of less than 1 km2 of the island, and not in the 14 areas permitted.

The City of Laval, who has reviewed the record, maintains that these massage parlors departed already to the former regulations and that of the erotic activities that were not permitted at the location where they operated.
