Mauricie: a man dies crushed under his car

    CHAMPLAIN | A man died crushed under the weight of his car Friday afternoon at Champlain, near Trois-Rivières, in the Mauricie region.

    The quarantenaire making needed repairs under his car when the jack that was supporting the vehicle gave way.

    It is his wife who has had knowledge of the accident and contacted the emergency services. A neighbor and a first responder were able to get out of his unfortunate position.

    Seriously injured, the victim has been transported to the centre hospitalier de Trois-Rivières, where his death has been found.

    His wife was also taken to the hospital for nervous shock.
