Seventeen years after the death of Ayrton Senna, McLaren pays tribute to him by giving his family name to its most recent car that promises to be more insane than ever. At least that is the way that McLaren describes.

Thanks to its chassis and its body panels made of carbon fiber, it stands out, among other things, by its lightness. Weighing only 1198 kilograms, it is the car which is the lightest produced by McLaren since the legendary F1 of the 90s. Its monocoque structure would be, for her, the most rigid to date.

Position the center rear is a V8 biturbo. Mated to a double clutch seven reports, the latter generates an output of 789 horsepower. The power-weight ratio is more than impressive.

In spite of all the undeniable qualities of the car, it would seem that McLaren have forgotten one aspect : the beauty! Of course, we wanted to create a sports car worthy of the track and making it legal for the road, which has necessarily required some concessions. One thing is for certain, yes it is powerful, but from the aesthetic point of view, it is light years ahead of the F1 or even the P1.

For the small history, Ayrton Senna drove for the McLaren team of 1988 to 1993. He lost his life in 1994 at the wheel of a Williams at Imola.
