A man of 27 years was between life and death in the hospital following a violent collision occurred a few moments after being saved from a first accident, on Tuesday morning, to Montreal.
Around 7: 30, the hit would have been involved in an accident, all minor, at the corner of rue Sainte-Catherine and Joliette, in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
Rather than stopping, the motorist would have taken the flight before being involved in a second collision a few hundred metres away, at the intersection of rue Sainte-Catherine and Préfontaine.
Under the force of the impact, the vehicle of the suspect has made at least a barrel and finished his race on the side, in the middle of the street.
Firefighters were called to the scene to extricate the man from the carcass of his vehicle.
He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Nobody else was injured in the two collisions.
The Sainte-Catherine street East has been closed to traffic between the streets of Davidson and Moreau for the duration of the investigation.
