More than 2 million new cars sold in Canada in 2017, a record

The Canadians were likely to purchase a new car in the last year, allowing dealers to sell more than 2 million vehicles, a record in Canada.
According to data compiled by DesRosiers Automative Reports, it has sold approximately 2 038 800 cars in the country, 89 900 more than in 2016, an increase of 4.6%. The number, 31.4 percent were passenger cars, while 68.6 percent were small trucks, which includes pickups and SUVS.
Again, Ford has dominated the market selling for 15.1% of the vehicles sold in the country, 308 474 cars, lower however compared to its market share of 15.6% in 2016.
