More than 200 vans to go to El Campo 2017

    At the end of the week, a former military base turned into a huge gathering of lovers of the “vanlife”.

    On the site of the Domain of the Radar, in Saint-Sylvestre, at least 400 people came to the edge of the 227 vans are displaced to the second edition of El Campo, a gathering organized by the site web quebec Go-van.com. This is a major increase compared to the first edition of the event, which was attended by around one hundred vehicles.

    Throughout the weekend, fans of vans were able to take advantage of the exceptional weather for a swim, to visit the nooks and crannies of the Field of Radar and to interact with other fans of vanning came to show their cars.     The iconic Westfalia were by far in the majority, but other vehicles of an originality sometimes surprising, were also on-site. There was even an ambulance converted into a home on four wheels!

    In the evening, the rally turned into a great feast, including a huge camp fire and the benefit of musicians who came especially for the event.

    With such an increase in popularity compared to last year, El Campo clearly has the wind in its sails and could well become an annual rendez-vous in the world of vanning quebec.
