At the time the trial was scheduled to begin, an ex-military Terrebonne was recognized this morning to have killed his father and his mother-in-law blows of the knife.
Initially accused of two murders premeditated, Guillaume Gélinas has pleaded guilty to two counts reduced homicide without premeditation in the place of his father, Luc Gélinas and the joint of the Julie Lemieux.
His trial was scheduled to start this morning, at the courthouse in Joliette.
On the night of February 12 and 13, 2014, former military, who had fought in Afghanistan, snuck into the residence of his father in disguise, hooded and armed with a stick, telescopic, with the avowed purpose of scaring him.
The son had a financial dispute with his father, who had received insistent calls from creditors, a young man in the previous days.
A dispute erupted and Guillaume Gélinas took a kitchen knife to land 10 hits to his father, and 38 to his mother-in-law.
The lawyers have suggested in conjunction with the justice Michel Pennou to condemn the murderer to life in prison, without the possibility of parole before the age of 18.
