Forces law enforcement officials in the Murmansk region conducted a special operation in which were arrested eight criminals involved in the kidnapping and torture of a businessman.

A businessman, living in the Murmansk region, suffered torture the kidnappers who demanded for his freedom award in the amount of several dozen million rubles. Information about the abduction to the police received from the relatives of the abducted men, whose identity remains incognito. Relatives of those abducted said that they received a call from the criminals demanding a huge ransom for his life and freedom. The man was abducted on the street when the attacker approached the car and pushed him forcibly into the car that was captured by the surveillance cameras.

Police said that during the week a man was repeatedly transported to different places, to confuse the trail. The businessman was released after relatives handed the criminals a ransom, carefully watched from under cover law enforcement officers, who subsequently followed the attackers and carried out their detention.
