    The police officer of the city of Quebec, who had made a fire in the direction of Naomie Tremblay – Trudeau during a student demonstration in front of the national Assembly in march 2015 began with the presentation of two videos news showing the event.

    The video of the face-to-face where we see the protester to receive a smoke bomb to the face had done a lot to react on 26 march 2015. The student at cégep manifested, that day, against the government’s austerity measures Couillard.

    At the end of a year of investigation, the police officer Charles Scott Simard has been summoned before the ethics Committee for two offences of not having used his rifle to irritating chemical with caution and discernment. Officer Simard was finally called before the committee in June 2016.

    The hearing that begins Wednesday should, however, continue for several days. In total 14 hearing days have been scheduled.

    In the morning, the hearing began with the presentation of two different videos where one sees the police officer unloading his gun to irritating chemical on two occasions, first in the direction of Naomie Tremblay-Trudeau, then a few moments later, to other protesters.

    The hearing was able to understand that the two landfills are covered by the offences. A third discharge, fired by another officer in the same incident is not the subject of a subpoena before the committee.

    On the other hand, the lawyer of Charles-Scott Smith informed the president that the type of ammunition fired in the event was withdrawn by the SPVQ a result of it. “In particular, because of the particles of red-orange that come out of the gun,” said Robert Deblois, adding that he would make further clarifications.

    The police officer Simard is joined by the Brotherhood of police of the city of Quebec during this hearing. Naomie Tremblay-Trudeau will begin his testimony this afternoon.
