MONTREAL – A fire broke out in a lebanese restaurant boulevard de l’acadie, in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, in Montreal, in the night from Thursday to Friday. This is the third time in only three weeks that the restaurant is a victim of an arson attack.
The fire would have taken birth to 4 p.m. in the restaurant located near the rue Mazurette. Upon their arrival, firefighters found that the window of the front door had been smashed using a canister of gasoline, which would have served to light the fire.
Firefighters quickly contained the flames.
The restaurant has not suffered only light damage, since the sprinklers were triggered.
The investigation has been transferred to investigators of the arson of the police Department of the City of Montreal.
“This is the third arson at this address in three weeks,” said Benoit Boisselle, a spokesperson for the SPVM.
No arrest has been made for the moment in this case.
