New impressive photos from Hubble (photo)
In the center of a large group of galaxies located towards the constellation of coma Berenices, lies a galaxy surrounded by a swarm of stellar groups.
The most powerful space telescope to date, boasted a new image, reports Rus.Media.
In the center of a large group of galaxies located towards the constellation of coma Berenices, lies a galaxy surrounded by a swarm of stellar groups. NGC 4874 is a giant elliptical galaxy that is about ten times larger than our own milky Way.
The powerful gravity of the galaxy ensures that it is able to hold more than 30 000 globular clusters, and it is many times larger than any other galaxy we know of.
On viewing the image, the space telescope named Hubble best of all striking an object NGC 4874. It is the brightest object, located to the right and is seen as a bright starlike nucleus, surrounded by a misty halo. A few other galaxies of the group are also seen in the photo. They look like flying saucers dancing around NGC 4874.
However, the most amazing feature of this image is many bright globular clusters, each of which contains several hundred thousand stars.
