The mp outbound for the riding of Pointe-aux-Trembles, Nicole Léger, will support the candidacy of Jean-Martin Aussant.
The inauguration will take place on April 15 and oppose Aussant Maxime Laporte, the current president of the Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The two candidates have officially announced Tuesday that they would try and succeed to Nicole Light in the riding of the east end of Montreal.
The Parti québécois holds the Pointe-aux-Trembles since the creation of the district in 1989.
Nicole Léger announced on 15 January that it does not intend to seek reappointment to a new term of office in the general election, next fall.
