    A young police officer died in a road accident while going to his Christmas party for work, Monday evening, in the tiny cree village of Oujé-Bougoumou, near Chibougamau, in Nord-du-Québec.

    A graduate of the École nationale de police du Québec, Lyes Cherifi had agreed last month on a short contract of police officer within the police Department Eeyou Eenou.

    The 26 year old young man had also carried out the selection process in order to join the ranks of the police Department of the City of Montreal. He was awaiting a response from the police force in montreal.

    Lyes Cherifi died in a violent head-on collision occurred on route 113 when he went to his Christmas party in the company of his fellow officers.
