    MONTREAL – A woman was between life and death, on Wednesday evening, after being struck by a hit and then fled, in the Saint-Michel neighbourhood in Montreal.

    The incident occurred at around 18: 40 when the victim, a 55 year old female, has been snapped up by a van at the time when she was about to embark in his car on 17th avenue, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

    The offending driver then fled, turning onto the rue Jean-Rivard, according to witnesses interviewed by the POLICE.

    The victim was driving in critical condition at the hospital. We feared for his life in the early evening.

    Investigators from the SPVM have been sent to the scene to analyze the scene. No description of the suspect or his vehicle was available in the middle of the evening.
