Ukrainians will not be able to see the rare phenomenon for themselves.

Today, August 21, will be the longest solar Eclipse in history, which would last an hour and a half, reports Rus.Media. However, to see it, only those who are in the United States. Partly the spectacle will be available for those living in Western Europe and South America.

Interestingly, the city of Carbondale (USA) will be a unique place where there will be two total solar eclipses over 7 years 2017 and 2024.

Today for the first time in 99 years a solar Eclipse will cover all of the continental States of America.

In Ukraine, this phenomenon will not be seen. A total solar Eclipse will take place on 21 August at 21:26 local time. According to scientists, the Moon will cover the Sun for 1.5 hours, and the solar corona will be several times more than during previous eclipses. Full overlap of the Sun and the dark will last about two minutes. Bright stars and planets become visible.

Ukrainians will be able to observe a unique phenomenon with the help of the online broadcast of NASA, which will be conducted from a height of 30 thousand feet above the ground. Track solar activity during the Eclipse will deal with the DKIST telescope, the most powerful solar telescope in the world.
