Ottawa: a worker is seriously injured after receiving a beam on the head

FISHING – A worker of 34 years, was seriously injured in the early after-noon, Wednesday, after receiving a beam of wood directly on the head, at The Fishing, in the Outaouais region.
The workplace accident occurred around 13 h at 7, path of Progress.
According to the authorities, the man “was on of the manipulation of beams of wood when one of them fell on the head”.
The shock has momentarily lose consciousness at the victim, who was alone at the time of the facts.
When it is income to him, the man contacted the emergency services, who arrived on the scene.
The worker from Cantley, north of Gatineau, was transported to the Hospital in Hull for treatment of significant head injuries.
According to the authorities, his condition was “serious but stable”, in the late afternoon.
The investigation to clarify the circumstances of this accident has been referred to the standards Commission, equity, health and safety in the workplace (CNESST).
