The host and producer Julie Snyder is in addition to those who have decided to break their business ties with the companies of Éric Salvail and Gilbert Rozon in the wake of the sex scandals in the middle of which the two men were found a few days ago.
Saturday night, on Facebook, Ms. Snyder wrote that his company, Productions J, “agrees to no longer work with Just for laughs and Salvail & Co as long as Gilbert Rozon, Eric Salvail, will be shareholders or owners of these companies”.
She explained that this decision had been taken “after talking with the artists we represent and the members of our management team”.
Julie Snyder points out in his message that Productions J thus adopts the same measures as those implemented by the Group Phaneuf”, a company which manages, among others, the careers of Louis-José Houde, François Bellefeuille and Patrick Groulx.
On Thursday, Benjamin Phaneuf, president of Groupe Phaneuf, had announced also on Facebook that his “company is committed to not be involved in any project of Just for laughs and Salvail & Co or any other person who is the subject of serious allegations regarding such unacceptable behaviour”. “As long as these people are shareholders or business owners, a Group that Phaneuf will no longer be working with them.”
