A man of Mirabel, who has raped and beat prostitutes for over eight years, pretending to be a police officer, has been sent to prison on the spot Wednesday after having been dismissed by a judge who did not believe his explanations implausible.

“I don’t remember the version of the accused, his version is not credible and which the court does not grant faith. […] Throughout his testimony, he seeks to justify himself “, ruled the judge Yanick Laramée, at the palace of justice in Laval.

Winston Omar Murillo Arizola has even “attempted to pose as the victim subject to the will of these women who offered him sexual services,” continued the magistrate, noting the lack of consistency of the 38-years old man.

Murillo Arizola, therefore, has been found guilty Wednesday of sexually assaulting two sex workers he has addressed to Laval in 2007 and 2015. Last week, he had also been convicted of the assault of a third prostitute, which occurred in 2011.

Note that it was also facing charges relating to two other victims, for which he was acquitted. One is not presented to the court, and the testimony was deemed unreliable by the magistrate.

    Badge of policeman

Murillo Arizola always used the same modus operandi. He addressed the women on the edge of the street, had them get into his car and led them into a dark corner to violate them.

He did not hesitate to make use of a great violence to achieve its ends.

He claimed then that he was a police officer in order to scare its victims. Murillo Arizola even showed what appeared to be a badge to one of them.

Murillo Arizola was arrested in December 2015, after the last victim had managed to escape, half naked, to alert motorists and the authorities.

The police were able to link the suspect to other assaults through DNA.

During the trial, the accused claimed that the relationship was consensual, that the magistrate did not believe, particularly having regard to the emotionality of the victims during their testimonies.

The judge Laramée has ordered the detention of Winston Omar Murillo Arizola to the following procedures. The latter will return to court next month.
