QUEBEC – The government Couillard announced on Monday a $ 5 million investment in the capital stock of the Corporation Gold Monarchs, a gold producer of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.

Quebec hopes that his contribution will advance the various projects being undertaken this year, including the drilling of the mines Beaufort and Croinoir Gold, the calculations of the resource properties McKenzie Break and Swanson, as well as the implementation of a development strategy for the deposit of Wasamac.

“We realize today is a direct investment in our mineral resources to ensure that the impact of these projects benefit the region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue as well as all Quebecers,” explained the minister of Economy, Dominique Anglade, and by press release.

The government Couillard realize this investment through the fonds Capital Mines hydrocarbon, an envelope of a billion dollars available for businesses that operate and transform mineral substances in the domain of the State.

The fund aims in particular to support the Plan Nord, constituting an additional source of funding for the realization of projects for private investment.
