Julie Fortin and his parents have had to make their mourning of this sea loss of sight that they could enjoy every morning.

The passage of the storm of 6 December 2010 has done away with the protection of riprap, the shed and the ground of the house the family bought in 1979, but built in the 1960s.

The experts mentioned that this might happen, which has facilitated their choice of move.

“We do not regret our decision, but in the sea we lack and it is a grief in and of itself,” says Julie Fortin.

The large house was moved on a land located two minutes from the river. The adaptation will mostly stay in the same house, but with a new view.

“There is also the fact of feeling safe. There is more to wonder if there will be a high tide or an event such as those experienced in 2010. “
