OTTAWA – The leadership candidate of the New democratic Party (NDP) Guy Caron announced on Monday received two new “support size” to his campaign, the former leader of the Ontario NDP, Howard Hampton and former mpp in Ontario, Shelley Martel.

“In this era where image and the égoportraits are often simplistic solutions to our problems, Guy Caron differs by its depth of thought, his candor and his eloquence in both official languages,” said Mr. Hampton, sending the kick an arrow to the prime minister Justin Trudeau.

For its part, Ms. Martel said to be “convinced that Guy Caron is best placed to lead the NDP”.

“He has the experience, knowledge, determination, and eloquence necessary to meet the challenges that await us”, she added.

For his part, the principal said he is “extremely proud to receive the support of two persons of great quality who have dedicated their lives to public service.”

In addition to Mr. Caron, the three candidates are still in the running to succeed Thomas Mulcair, Ontario Charlie Angus and Jagmeet Singh and Manitoba’s Niki Ashton.

The first round of the election will begin on 18 September and ended on the 1st of October.
