OTTAWA – The canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) announced Wednesday the recall of chicken nuggets, recipe of the pub, the President’s Choice brand, as this product could have been contaminated by the bacteria Salmonella.

“The food contaminated by the Salmonella bacteria are not necessarily of alteration visible or smell suspicious, but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may develop serious infections and sometimes life-threatening,” warned the agency in a press release.
“If you believe you have been sick after consuming a product covered by a recall, contact your doctor. Check if you have the product covered by the recall at home. If this is the case, discard it or return it to the store where it was purchased.”
In people not experiencing health problems, salmonellosis may be manifested by symptoms of short duration such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
