Reconstruction of the street bridge of the ile Charron in Longueuil: the work begins Monday

    LONGUEUIL | The work of reconstruction of the overpass of the street of the island Charron in Longueuil will begin Monday and will continue until the fall of 2018.

    The reconstruction project includes two phases of work.

    The first, which will take place from Monday to mid-December, will perform and preparation work to dismantle the bridge.

    During this period, motorists will face more closures, which impede the circulation: partial Closing of the bypass located on Île-Charron, partial closure of the ramp entrance from the street of the Île-Charron to highway 25 in the south direction, and the complete closure of the bridge of the street of the Île-Charron during the duration of the work, as soon as the bypass route will be open.

    Finally, during the demolition of the bridge, the highway 25 will be completely closed in both directions during the night, and a deviation from the traffic lanes and lane widths will be reduced.

    The second phase of work, which will begin after the winter break, in the spring of 2018, will consist of the reconstruction of the bridge.
