LAVAL | The fire department of the City of Laval have rescued a woman, who has drifted 1.4 km in the rivière des Prairies near the pont Médéric-Martin in Laval, shortly before 2 a.m. in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

The lady of 41 years in a state of intoxication was walking on the edge of the shore near the 66th avenue in the area Chomedey, in Laval, in the company of a man when she decided on his own to go to put both feet in the water and even swim, reported the lieutenant Frédéric Jean du Service de police de Laval (SPL).

It was swept away by the current and was unable to return to shore by swimming, it is, therefore, left to float and it is only 26 minutes later that help arrived.

The lady has not been injured in his epic, but it has been left for a nice scare.

Lieutenant John took the opportunity to remember a few rules of safety, including not swimming with the impaired. “Fortunately, in this case, there was no damage.”
