The traffic is very difficult on route 132 in Saint-Fabien, near Rimouski, where a tanker truck ended up on the side after making an exit from the road.

Given the risks – the vehicle was carrying propane, the traffic is closed in both directions and a large security perimeter was erected.

Residents of the area have been evacuated. Those who had no place to flee have been welcomed into the community hall of Saint-Fabien.

The fire brigade sector and representatives of the ministry of Transport were dispatched to the scene. The heavy vehicle must be towed.

Because of the dangerousness of the situation, the traffic was blocked at three access points, so that no motorist cannot come places.

The driver was not injured and no other vehicle is involved.
