“Rosnano” and Windar Renovables creates towers for wind turbines : In the World : Vladim

Alisher Kalanov, head of RUSNANO, said on a joint with Spanish firm Windar Renovables project. The new project will be aimed at building towers for wind turbines.

Partners agreed the terms of cooperation. The end of the month, the two organizations plan to sign all documents for the project. Windar Renovables preparing technical documentation. Education and training of staff is the responsibility of Windar.

According to head “Rosnano”, towers for wind turbines will be produced by the existing plant in the Rostov region, which will be upgraded by the end of 2018. This will reduce financial costs and enable shorter time to start the production. What plant will be the basis for the implementation of the project will be known in late March.

Sea otters noted that up to 80% of the material production of towers will be supplied by domestic producers. About 1 billion rubles plans to invest in the project until 2024 “Rosnano”. It is known that the trade towers received investment from Fortum. Will involve investments of foreign companies.
