SAINT-GILBERT | A snowmobile driver was in a critical state after it plunged into the Sainte-Anne river in Saint-Gilbert in Portneuf, Sunday afternoon.
The driver of the snowmobile was with a passenger when the ice gave way to 14: 15. The passenger, 50-year-old has managed to hang on to the ice and passers-by were able to help him out of the river. His life was not in danger, even if it has been transported to the hospital.
But the victim’s 69-year-old was less fortunate. The man remained in the water until 16 p.m. when firefighters arrived on the spot found. He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
