The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is believed to have solved a series of crimes committed since the month of December, primarily in the regions of Laurentides and Lanaudière.

The police was investigating on crimes as diverse as break and enter, fraud, impersonation, hit and run, dangerous driving, theft and possession of stolen goods.

The crimes have been committed in recent months in the areas of Saint-Donat, Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Rawdon, Sainte-Juliette, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Sainte-Sophie and La Malbaie.

The investigation was able to link all of these criminal offences to only one suspect, Charles Savoie-Tessier, aged 20 years.

The young man was arrested last week in Mont-Tremblant.

He appeared at the courthouse in Joliette Friday 22 counts of the indictment. Savoy-Tessier pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him and he is still held.

The SQ advised that the survey was not completed in this case, since other complaints have already been received.

According to the authorities, Charles Savoie-Tessier “sold such as vehicles and parts of stolen vehicles on the internet, in addition to committing various thefts”.
